2026-27 SCHOLARSHIP PROCEDURES

Overview

The scholarship process begins once a family accepts an invitation to join a travel team. At that point, the scholarship application window opens, providing families with the opportunity to seek financial assistance.

Application Timeline

Families have 48 hours from the time of accepting the invitation to submit a scholarship application. This ensures that all requests are gathered in a timely manner, allowing the process to move forward efficiently.

Review and Award Process

After all scholarship offers have been made, the board will convene to review the submitted scholarship requests. The board will evaluate each application and determine award amounts for those deemed deserving. The amounts awarded will be based on both the amount requested by the family and the budget allocated for scholarships.

Notification of Awards

Once the board has finalized the award amounts, designated personnel will contact the families to inform them of the decision. Notification will occur at least two weeks prior to the first practice, if not earlier, to allow families adequate time to prepare.

Application for Scholarship Funds

Following notification, after payment of family’s portion or payment plan set up, the treasurer will access the system to apply the awarded scholarship amount to the family's account.

Scholarship Awarded Volunteer Hours

After you receive a scholarship, you'll need to complete volunteer hours for the club in different ways. You'll be given several opportunities to select from throughout the year. For every $50 awarded, you are required to volunteer for 1 hour.
