Culpeper Soccer Club Joins Virginia Soccer Alliance

Culpeper Soccer Club is proud to announce its membership in the Virginia Soccer Alliance for the Fall 2026 season.  The club will become the 9th member club in the alliance, joining peer clubs from around central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley with a common mission of growing the game of soccer, developing players and elevating the standards of youth sports in every community.

The move into the Virginia Soccer Alliance provides a professional structure for the organization while allowing the club to maintain its Culpeper identity and community focus.  Local staff will run the day-to-day environment based out of Culpeper with administrative support and executive staffing provided by the larger organization.  The VSA puts soccer and community first with soccer people making soccer decisions in the best interests of local players and player development.

“Since 1984, CSC has been the heartbeat of soccer in this community. This move is a way to provide our players with even more resources while maintaining the independent, local identity that has defined us for over four decades.” Says Culpeper Soccer Board President Jeffrey Stafford.

As part of the alliance, Culpeper Soccer Club will enjoy the benefits of a larger club infrastructure without losing the local appeal.  CSC will gain access to ongoing relationships held by VSA with partners such as Hudl Match Recording and Analysis, TeamSnap Team Management, Techne Player Development App, TGS Recruiting Platform, Coaching Manual Online Coach Resource, United Soccer Coaches Club Membership, and Capelli Sport.  Culpeper will continue to host the annual Blue Ridge Cup and provide a comprehensive player development pathway from entry level recreational programs to advanced travel.

“Our commitment to our families remains the same: serving the Culpeper community as a local, player-first club. We can focus our energy where it matters most – on the field. We are gaining access to a broader network of expertise and administrative support that will empower our staff and ensure the long-term stability of soccer in our region.” says co-Director of Travel Scott Allen.

We are, and will always be, Culpeper Soccer Club. We are keeping our same colors and same crest – the symbols of our 40-year legacy.” mentions Stafford.

The Virginia Soccer Alliance (VSA) was formed in 2021 to bring together like-minded, independent clubs to enhance local programming and foster long term stability. By sharing administrative resources and aligning regional programming, the VSA helps promote well-supported, community-centric clubs throughout Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.
