CSC Hires Fro Adu!

Culpeper Soccer Club (CSC) is proud to announce the hiring of Fro Adu as Director of Coaching and Player Development. Coach Fro brings an extensive background of coaching and playing experience to CSC, where he will lead Recreation Program initiatives and the U8-U10 Academy Program.

Coach Fro has coached at Virginia Soccer Association (VSA) in many roles since 2011, acting primarily as the JR Academy Director for their U8-U10 age groups. He has coached in the VDA and VYSA ODP, USL Super 20 League, and as a Men’s Assistant Coach for George Mason University. His playing experience spans the US Youth National Team, George Mason University, and Maryland ODP.

CSC Technical Director, Dan Bales, said this about the addition of Fro Adu to CSC, “Fro is exactly what you look for in a DOC. He’s energized, enthusiastic, and has a keen passion for the youth game and grassroots soccer. He has excellent coaching credentials and has worked with a top-class staff at VSA. During the hiring process, our communication with the staff at VSA was outstanding as we worked together to put Fro in the best possible position for continued professional success. I am very excited to work with Fro on Recreation programming and in the U8-U10 Academy Program that has seen substantial growth under the direction of Coach Carlos Barona. We share a common vision of youth player development that builds on that proven Academy model, and I’m thrilled to have him on the team!”

Matt Lacey, VSA Executive Director, said, “This was an opportunity for Fro that we fully supported once Dan had let me know about this role. Fro is ready to take on more responsibility in a leadership position and knowing that he can do it with a club that shares the same values is a tremendous platform for him. Culpeper is getting a quality person and a professional who will help continue to build on the foundations already established at CSC. He will continue to coach 1 NPL team at VSA, which is a bonus for us, but I am personally excited to see the impact he will have at Culpeper and beyond. This is a great day for Culpeper Soccer Club and Fro, congratulations again to both.”

Coach Fro shared his thoughts on accepting the position with CSC, "I am very excited to be a part of Culpeper Soccer Club. I take tremendous pride in having this opportunity to play such a significant role in developing the U8-U10 Academy Program and Recreation Program, both on and off the field. Dan and I share the same values and ideals regarding the process of coaching, mentoring, encouraging, and uplifting young men and women to be competitive soccer players and outstanding young people of character and resolve. I look forward to starting my new role and building new relationships with the Culpeper staff and players."
